David Haywood is a triathlete and bike adventurer currently based in Surrey, England. Over the years he has toured Europe by bike, cycling from London to Paris, London to Rome, London to Amsterdam and from Land's End to John O'Groats, the length of the UK. He has also completed the London Marathon, and now competes competitively in triathlon. Starting as a novice in 2015, by 2017 he competed for Great Britain in the Age-Group World Championships in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and in 2018 he competed in the Ironman 70.3 European Championships training with the MAF Method philosophy. In October 2017 he broke the Guinness World Record for the 'most countries visited by bicycled in a week'.
His latest project is an attempt to circumnavigate the world by bicycle in a year, starting on September 2nd 2018. You can follow his progress here.
